When is the last time you had some private time? We are always filling our time with stuff, things and other people. We often fail to save time for ourselves. Self care and quiet time is an essential part of being well. Start today and make a calendar for the week. Block off time for the must do items, like sleep, hygiene, meals, work, school, children, ministry, sports/exercise, etc. But, block off eight hours of the 168 hours in the week for yourself. Be intentional between now and next Sunday, roughly one hour and ten minutes a day. This could be time to read (not a required reading), foot soak, bowling, take a walk, play games on your device, crossword puzzles, a nap, a drive, eat a meal at a new restaurant, watch a movie, pray, reflect, journal, shopping, etc. The point is that you schedule yourself in pen! I will upload an activity that I complete with my groups to help you get an idea of how you spend your entire week. You may be surprised at what you learn about yourself! Private time matters, so make it a priority!
